One of FreeMoreWest's Gold members,Charlotte West Rotary Club has been an active part of the West Charlotte community for over 50 years. They are active in education through their annual scholarship grant named for Avery C. Wallen at West Mecklenburg High School. They also find new ways to get involved like sponsoring a "Rotary Exchange student" from Westl Mecklenburg and bringing the Novant Community Care truck to Bruns Academy Elementary School. Their signature event of the year is the annual TOSSIN' FOR TYKES Cornhole Tournament on Saturday June 7.
Marty White is the current president of Charlotte West Rotary and is a partner with Johnston, Allison & Hord P.A., on East Morehead Street that has celebrated over 100 years of service to the Charlotte community.
Professionally, Marty specializes in complex civil litigation. Business North Carolina magazine has repeatedly recognized Marty as a "Legal Elite" in North Carolina. And, since 2009, Marty has been named a "Super Lawyer" by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine. Just this year, Marty was honored as one of the "Top 100 Attorneys in North Carolina". Prior to joining Johnston, Allison & Hord, Marty served as a Lieutenant in the Navy JAG Corps. During his time of service to his country, Marty received the Navy Commendation Medal and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. After serving his country, Marty settled in Charlotte with his wife Heather and is now the proud (and brave?) father of four. Thank you Marty for your leadership in our community!
